She has supported 2 of our children one with mild developmental delay and one with level 3 ASD and high support needs. She has significantly built their capacity and worked in harmony with their other supports to make improve outcomes and achieve goals! She has also been amazing at supporting and advocating for us as a family and has a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend Kathryn as a disability professional Abigail GrimesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've not felt more comfortable leaving my son with a support worker who not only makes sure he is safe an d happy, but is intentional about investing in his growth and development. At home or in the community I have confidence knowing my son is being cared for as well as he would be if I was with him. There is no price tag for that kind of assurance and I'm so greatful my family has the support of Cherub Disability Services.

Responsibility is central to everything we do. Our team understands the privilege of supporting children and their families, and each staff member is chosen for their ability to connect genuinely, engage at a child’s level, and bring real passion to their work. We value support workers who build relationships, celebrate small wins, and work collaboratively with families with professionalism, warmth, and respect.
What sets our team apart is their commitment to each child’s individuality. Our staff recognise that every child learns and engages differently, whether through play, creativity, or community activities. Trained in trauma informed and person centred practices, they create safe, relaxed environments where children feel confident to express themselves, try new things, and grow at their own pace.
Kathryn Miller brings more than thirty years of experience working with children with disabilities in a variety of capacities across the education and disability sectors. She holds a Masters degree in Special Education alongside specialised training in Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma-informed practices, and emotional regulation. Throughout her career, Kathryn has supported children living with ASD, trauma-related behaviours, sensory processing disorders, Global Developmental Delay, ODD, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. Over three decades in the education sector, she has developed not just expertise, but a deep, abiding passion for helping children with disabilities and their families flourish in ways that honour each child’s individuality and potential.
Kathryn founded Cherub Disability Services with a clear vision: to see families affected by disabilities grow, flourish, and function confidently in their communities. She understood from years of experience that truly effective NDIS supports must wrap around the entire family, not just the child. Her approach centres on the belief that parents are their children’s greatest champions, and when families are supported well, children thrive. This philosophy of collaboration, progress, and fun isn’t just a service model for Kathryn, it’s the culmination of decades spent witnessing the beauty and different layers in young people that many others overlook. She knows that meaningful change happens when children feel relaxed, comfortable, and engaged, which is why Cherub prioritises playful, person-centred approaches over rigid clinical models.
Since her teenage years, Kathryn has felt a deep compassion for people living with disabilities and a desire to help others see what she sees: the incredible potential, resilience, and unique gifts each child brings. She understands that supporting a child’s development means supporting parents to function confidently in their communities, and that this work requires a village of dedicated, passionate people. Starting Cherub allowed Kathryn to create that village, a team of vibrant, energetic professionals who share her commitment to celebrating each child’s voice, progress, and individuality. For Kathryn, being part of each family’s journey isn’t just a job; it’s a calling she’s been answering for over thirty years, and one she brings to Cherub Disability Services with expertise, heart, and unwavering dedication to seeing every child reach their full potential.
